Burnt Orange

Tried out Kodak Pro Image 100 for the first time. Fell in love with it despite how blurred my shots are.
The curry ramen was good. The nori fish and chips were very much not.
These burnt orange trousers are ridiculous but I love them.

Into the Ether

You wake up to a sunset sky with wisps of clouds. A haze of an afternoon, slow and sleepy, like you have all the time in the world to waste.
We go where no one else goes.
Out of this world and into the next.
Goodbye, see you again.

(Rear) Window Shopping

Imagine having the ability to lounge in pearls and a suit without the creases cramping your style.
Or perhaps flouncing around in high heels and Dior's New Look, all while solving a neighborhood murder. Imagine having the grace of Grace Kelly.
Someday I'll be able to write a proper post about Rear Window, but for now...
Let's admire the couture.
Because if there's one thing she knows, it's how to wear the proper clothes.

Film Diary - July 2018

When I have a day off, I like to take a long walk all by myself.
I've lived in the same neighborhood for close to eight years, but there's still so much to explore.
This film diary isn't just an exploration of what I see, but it's also an exploration of my photography. I still have so much to learn, and so much often goes wrong, but experimenting is the most fun part.
Facades of old houses and flowers, one of my favorite kinds of photographs to take. I promise I'm not a stalker lol
I took a similar one in Kawagoe in December 2017:
Maybe I'll eventually make a photo series of house facades with flowers? I really like that idea.
This could have been House With Flowers Number Three if I didn't make the mistake of not cranking the film all the way. Needs a reshoot.
After taking a walk, I usually go look for a cafe to hide in for a while. This was a Japanese dessert cafe. Not matcha bingsu, but still matcha shaved ice. Also known as Kakigori.
The best part of this cafe was that it was small and cozy and full of authentic knick-knacks. I was the only customer, and after serving me, the employees were busy having fun on their own. This meant that I was free to do whatever I wanted--which means, of course, a photoshoot.
Chilling with dessert and a novel. Right now I'm reading 秘密 by 東野圭吾. The English translation is titled Naoko by Keigo Higashino, but the original title actually means "Secret". I'm barely halfway through the book, so I haven't reached all the highly-acclaimed parts yet.
Please excuse the blurry focus.
